Variable dimensions (indicatively: 1.75m x 1.20m x 0.75m)Wooden escritoire, wooden column, old type low energy incandescent light bulb.

Also included:

 

  • -The Official Gazette Issue referring to the founding of the Greek Masonic Lodge.

  • -The Memorandum of Association and the Declaration of the Masonic Lodge in Manila, Philippines, approved by the Spanish Lodge of Madrid.

  • -Giovanni da Bologna’s painting La Madonna dell’ umiltà (Madonna of Humility), 1380-90.

  • -An 1895 Pharmacology book referring to the analysis and composition of narcotics and hallucinogens.

  • -A bottle containing genuine absinthe, a hallucinatory drink forbidden in the countries of the European Union until 1990.

  • -An old piece of paper (dating back to 1905) with an order for drinks, among which 6 litres of the forbidden drink absinthe.

  • -Old bottles containing chemical hallucinogens.

Archive art project, a comment on Masonry and its conspirational dimension, in the context of the seminar RESEARCH-BASED ART AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ART FIELD given by Kostis Stafylakis, visual artist and Doctor of Political Science, with the aim to study old and new forms of revealing “Gnosis” within history, culture, art, and political life, as well as in the context of the relevant project “Old and Contemporary Forms of Gnosis and Gnosticism”. The resulting works examine critically their role in contemporary social life and draw examples from real-life forms of the phenomenon.

 

The above project was carried out in the projectspace of the Athens School of Fine Arts Circuits and Currents.
